Columbia-Montour AVTS
This two marking period course is designed to introduce students to our present form of government. The course includes five major units of study. The course begins with an in depth look at the Constitution which gives the students a basis for the rest of the course. The three units on the three branches of the federal government is a major focus of this class. Debates, class discussions, and a criminal trial highlight this portion of the course. The course concludes with a unit on state and local government with a focus on citizenship. |
