Welcome to the Computers Technology homepage. This site will be used to keep students and family members up to date with what's happening in the program. I will also post upcoming homework assignments on here, so check back often.

Time to kick-off another year, hope you're excited! Come ready to learn something new every day and you'll do just fine. :)

First Marking Period

*9th Grade*
Ninth graders will get a taste of a few areas we cover in Computer Technology. They will learn features and functions of MS-Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using Microsoft Office 2007. Web Design basics will also be covered, and an introduction to computer programming using C++ too. There will be weekly vocabulary quizzes for the first half of the marking period, so be prepared!

*10th Grade*
Tenth graders are starting the year learning some intermediate to advanced MS-Office skills in Word, Excel, and Access. They'll also be learning the language of the Web, HTML. Projects will be posted online so they can show off their work at home. They are also working through a Computer Concepts textbook, expanding their technology vocabulary along the way.

*11th Grade*
Eleventh grade students are starting the year with a Database module. We'll start with Microsoft Access, then progress in to SQL. To create data backed web sites, they will use HTML and the PHP language. Juniors are also learning more about PC Operating Systems and Hardware this marking period.

*12th Grade*
Seniors start the year with a Computer Networking module. They'll not only learn the terminology associated with the topic, but also complete many hands-on projects in their own mini-network lab. At the same time, they're working through a "Keeping Financial Records" text/workbook to learn the basics of bookkeeping and accounting.
