Columbia-Montour AVTS
10th Grade English

English 10 is a course which reviews grammar and usage, sentence structure, and sentence types. The students will also improve informatinal, persuasive, and procedural writing skills through traditional instruction,extensive composition, and research for information. The students will also participate in reading activities using short stories and larger works of fiction and nonfiction.


Students will meet the following Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Academic Standards for Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening:
